Variety of Compact Automotive Connectors Further Expanded
Angle SMT Type "MX34R Series" Has Been Developed
|
As features in cars become ever more advanced, it is increasingly important for the automotive electrical units to be smaller, lighter, and lower cost. This means that for the connectors used in these devices, the demand for SMT type mounting is growing in order to help achieve further minimization from the reduced mounting space, and also to allow for more efficient production.
To meet this demand, JAE has now developed an angle SMT type MX34 Series connector to add to the straight SMT type which is widely used for automotive units and other applications. The "MX34R Series" is available in a wide variety of contact counts to meet a broad range of needs, it uses PPS resin to accommodate reflow mounting temperatures, and features metal "leg" hold-downs that enhance board retention while saving mounting space.
Both the angle and straight connectors are available in through-hole and SMT versions to meet various customer needs. |

- Board mounting layout: single type is 1 row, 2.2mm pitch; double type is 1 row, 1.1mm pitch.
- Board retention strength is enhanced by space saving metal "leg" hold-downs. Maintains high resistance strength against twisting after soldering.
- Mates with existing MX34 Series socket connector.
- Compatible with solder reflow mounting due to the heat resistant resin PPS.
- Adsorption surface on the connector enables automated mounting.
- Socket contact is box type for strength against external force. 2-layer spring structure for strength against twisting that prevents maximum displacement of spring.
- Socket connector features a pre-set type retainer which allows for easy assembly and detection of incomplete terminal insertion.
