::Outline::
In order to enhance the processing speed of the entire notebook PC system,
attempts are being made to speed up the memory operating frequency and
well as the CPU.
In addition, requirements for reductions in operating voltage are growing
in response to the increases in battery lifetime and decreases in power
consumption.
To meet such needs, JAE has developed and addition to the MM50 series.
This 200-contact socket is 5.2mm in height at mounting and supports DDR2
SDRAM SODIMM with an operating voltage of 1.8V, which has been added to
JEDEC Standard (MO-224) (current operating voltage is 2.5 V).
::Features::
- 200 positions socket for DDR2 SDRAM SODIMM conforming to JEDEC Standard
(MO-224)
- Supports an operating voltage of 1.8V. (2.5V module cannot be mounted because
the position of the mating key is different from that of the existing 2.5V
product.)
- Mounting height : 5.2mm
- Uses a positioning spring in the mating key to ensure secure DIMM board positioning and provide highly reliable connection.
- A latch structure combining both mold and metal spring ensures secure retention
of DIMM board.
::Applicable markets::
Notebook PC, tablet PC, etc.
